This just got real. This book marked the start of a most recent X-Force series that is now up to #15 and, for my money (and they have a lot of my money), is the strongest X book on the market. If you haven’t heard this is the team of mutants that does the dirty work that no one wants to talk about, and they’re not so concerned how the job gets done. Deadpool, Wolverine, Angel/Archangel, Psylocke, and Fantomex make for an interesting set of characters no matter what they’re doing. And yes, Deadpool is still cracking one-liners, but Remender keeps him just edgy and funny enough to avoid the goofy. In the most recent, epic story arc, the team is travelling to alternate realities to try and stop the old X foe Apocalypse, and the work is so good that this book has recently taken the prime position on my reading stack. Get your hands on this inaugural issue and see what everyone is talking about.
